When was the last time you took time at the beginning of the week to relax? Our lives are so chaotic and crazy 99% of the time so what if you made time for you during the week? Yes, the world will keep spinning! Here are a few things I love to do during my self-love nights!
Sounds simple, I know, but a task like washing your face can change everything. After a long day, nothing feels better than to wash your day away so you can enjoy your evening. Close your eyes and take a moment to reflect on your day. What are the things you want to wash away the most? Take this time to imagine yourself scrubbing the negativity off your face and watching them run down the drain.
Write it down
What if you have a to-do list a mile long and can’t see the end? Well, could you write out everything you need to do and then take 20 minutes to catch your breath? Doing a brain dump of all the tasks, and things going through your head actually reduces stress! Without overwhelming thoughts flooding in, the relaxation you’ve dreamed of all day is right around the corner.
Imagine lighting a candle, smelling your favorite essential oils and taking time to be in your OWN zone. Find a comfortable spot, shut your eyes, focus on your breath and how your body moves with each inhale and exhale. Make your practice your own.
Work can be stressful enough, girl, so take the time you need this week. Wash your face, brain dump and meditate. Love yourself and care for yourself so your cup is full to give to everyone else who needs you.
